A Summer Afternoon in the Sangre de Cristos

The Sangre de Cristo Mountains provided a stunning backdrop for this engagement session high above Santa Fe. Surrounded by towering pines, mountain vistas, and the beauty of a New Mexico summer afternoon, I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful couple along with their beloved dog. The three of them explored the trails together, shared plenty of laughter, and simply enjoyed being in the moment. It was a joy to capture the genuine connection they share—not only with each other, but with a companion who is clearly an important part of their story. Sessions like this are a reminder that the best photographs come from authentic moments, meaningful relationships, and beautiful places.
