Hey, my name is Terry Behal
My goal is to capture the small moments that often become the important ones later in life.
I believe your photographs should reflect who you truly are — not an interpretation of who someone thinks you should be. Creating that kind of honesty in an image begins with trust, which is why I take the time to help people feel comfortable, relaxed, and fully themselves in front of the camera.
And of course, not everything always goes according to plan. After more than 35 years behind the camera, experience has taught me how to work through harsh sunlight, unexpected weather, shifting timelines, and all the unpredictable moments in between. Sometimes those imperfect moments even become the most meaningful ones.
For many weddings, I am joined by my second photographer, Sandy Behal, whose calm presence and attention to detail help create a seamless experience while allowing us to document every part of the day with care and intention.
My role is not simply to take photographs, but to help create an experience where genuine connection and emotion can naturally unfold.
My approach

I approach weddings with a quiet awareness for the moments unfolding naturally throughout the day — the emotion, the anticipation, the movement, the stillness, and the connection between people.
Rather than heavily directing every moment, I prefer to guide gently when needed while allowing space for genuine interaction and emotion to exist naturally. I believe the most meaningful photographs are often found in the moments that cannot be staged.
My goal is to create imagery that feels honest, immersive, and emotionally connected to the experience itself.
