Welcome back Blue Rose Beauties & happy #WeddingWednesday to you! During these unprecedented times we hope to bring a little inspiration and happiness to your world. It brings us so much joy to be able to look back on the celebrations that we have had the pleasure of being part of and bask in the gloriousness of families coming together to celebrate love. We can’t wait for the dust to settle so that you can get back to planning as usual but in the meantime we will be here to put a smile on your face!

It is not everyday that we get to photograph two different types of wedding ceremonies in one day so this next couple is very near and dear to our hearts. Lani & Kellen’s wedding day last May was one we will never forget! Our bride Lani is a Diné/Filipina from Na’Neelzhiin, NM so its no surprise that their day was steeped in rich tradition and meaningful details. From her unforgettable-traditional blush dress & turquoise squash blossom necklace to her modern white gown and floral crown, Lani was simply stunning on her big day. Both ceremonies and through the entire reception the dapper groom, Kellen, looked at his bride adoringly and our hearts couldn’t have been more full for them. A beautiful wedding vase ceremony and an adorable puppy dog making a cameo down the aisle along with how truly magical the atmosphere felt are just some of the details we will never forget about their wedding day. We know that Kellen & Lani are on the adventure of a lifetime- and we are so honored that they chose us as their photographers to document the beginning of it all. Stephanie and Felipe, La Fonda on the Plaza

Welcome back Blue Rose Beauties! Today’s stunning Santa Fe, NM wedding has everything we could ever need – the SWEETEST couple in love, an adorable ring bearer and iconic southwestern details at every turn- cue the mariachi band! Not only that but we promise that after scrolling this next blog you are going to want to watch a Disney Movie. The fairytale-like features of one of our all time favorite venues, La Fonda on the Plaza, matches our next couple perfectly. The mountain backdrop to the ceremony along with the bride’s modern cinderella gown gives us all the Fairy Tale feels. Did we mention the bride’s gown had pockets- YES Pockets! If we could give an award for effortlessly chic bride of the year, Stephanie would win hands down. While Stephanie and Felipe look like two models plucked out of a love story we assure you they are as real and down to earth as they come. They planned an intimate wedding that was truly a touching celebration of love. Subtle yet beautiful florals put all of the shine on the beautiful venue, the couple and their love! To put it simply, the entire day was a total dream. To Stephanie & Felipe- if you are out there reading this- thank you so much for trusting us to capture this monumental occasion- we are so honored to be part of it all and may you both live happily ever after!

Ana and Joseph, Event Center at Sandia Golf Club

Ana and Joseph, quite possibly two of the kindest and most genuine people to ever exist, happened to find themselves in the right place at the right time and in the midst of a real life love story. The universe conspired for them to be together and everything fell into place leaving them no choice but to celebrate in perhaps the most beautiful fashion ever, surrounded by those they love most. If you’re on team classic, rustic, burgundy & rose gold you might want to go ahead and grab a nice warm cup of coffee or tea, get your pinterest finger ready, and settle in for a while because this next wedding will have your cozy heart and pinterest boards overflowing with love and inspiration.

The bride and groom exchanged vows under the big, beautiful, New Mexican sky with the Sandia Mountains and their nearest and dearest standing witness. Their beloved Bently the Shih Tzu and Bebe the Yorkie made sure to anchor them in love as the hustle and bustle of the day unfolded and they did it in impeccable style- they totally get our vote for best dressed of the day! Guests took their seats at tables adorned with monochromatic – delicate blooms and rustic details while the entire space was surrounded by romantic drapery and chic tones that made for a sweepingly beautiful look. Lauren Landavazo and the staff at The Event Center at Sandia Golf Club made sure this day was beyond breathtaking yet effortlessly intimate all wrapped up into one.
